I left off with:
If the silence takes you Then I hope it takes me too Hint? They play this all the time on alt-pop stations like KROQ. It's current, unlike most of my songs. Another hint? The name of the band is comprised of four words that, for the life of me, have no apparent relationship to each other. [ November 22, 2005, 16:28: Message edited by: dmc ] |

OK - this is clearly not going well.
The group is a quartet from Seattle. Their fifth album came out over the summer (although it was the first on a mainstream label, the others being indie). Their main claim to fame seems to be that the TV character Seth from the OC professed undying love for their music (this is hearsay as I don't watch TV any more). Anyway, if no one gets it by roughly noon my time, I'll do another one. |

As I don't listen to alternative rock and don't watch OC either, my guess is based on the first clue, though it's just the band.
Queens of the Stoneage? @undertaker - It wouldn't be your turn anyway, if you go by the rules. Apathetic made a guess a few days ago which wasn't confirmed or denied, so it would be either dmc's go again with something different or AE's with an IJA. So chill and stop jumping into people's graves so fast.

Death Cab for Cutie is the name of the band. The song is Soul Meets Body.
New lyrics: You feel there's something calling you You're wanting to return To where the misty mountains rise and friendly fires burn A place you can escape the world Where the dark lord cannot go Peace of mind and sanctuary by loud water's flow |

Geez, dmc! What a surprise that you'd quote lyrics from this band.

Splunge!! What are you doing posting here? I thought you were on some kind of vacation or I would never have posted Rush. |

Vacation? - hardly. Quite the opposite, if fact - RL has just been keeping me very busy lately. I miss the good ol' days. Anyway, you're right of course, dmc. Your turn. |

Gah! It's Alan Parsons, but I can't think of the name of the song.
And to make matters worse, I just noticed two embarrassing typo's in my first post from yesterday.

I'll assume Splunge is right with the band, so I'll guess the only APP song I know - Eye in the Sky?

Well, I decided to cheat a bit - didn't google the lyrics, but checked the song list, and remembered it from that.
Since I kinda cheated, I won't post the answer, but I'm sure dmc intentionally chose a song where the first part of the title describes me, and the other part most definitely doesn't.

Well, I couldn't have guessed it without Splunge's help. I'm not a big Alan Parsons fan.
I should have quit you, long time ago I should have quit you, and went on to Mexico |

Nope. The Lemon Song is actually somewhat of a cover of this song. They just changed the lyrics, the music and the name
