SP Happenings #148

I'm thinking of patching Neverwinter Nights with the spiffy new 1.67 patch and finally finishing Hordes of the Underdark... I need to hurry up, or the sequel with catch me before I've finished all of the original. I keep delaying playing NWN because there's not much point in even starting it if you don't have a few hours of interrupted game play at your disposal, and that's rarely been available to me in the last couple of years. Though frankly, the other major factor is that I'm just not that drawn to NWN as I usually am to CRPGs... sure, HotU finally is what the NWN OC was supposed to be upon release, but I think it's come too late for me. Still, I want to finish it at least once. I hate having played games and not making the effort to get to the end - same as with books.

I'm not taking any long breaks between site content updates, so I've already started (slowly) on the next one. If all goes according to plan, this one will come sooner than the recent one.

It's weird that in a site devoted to CRPGs, we actually hear so little about Tal actually playing the games. Take a break and play for a bit, Tal!

It's a curse of most webmasters of large(r) gaming sites, I think. There's always way too much work involving games to make you feel comfortable "wasting" time playing them. I just need to look at my updates to-do list, works like a cold shower... I'm ignoring it at the moment.
