NWN2 Worlds have interviewed several people from Obsidian. Those are Community Coordinator Rob McGinnis, Live Team Lead Programmer Rich Taylor, Live Team Producer Nathaniel Chapman and Kevin Saunders, Producer for Mask of the Betrayer. Here's an excerpt:
6. In your view what do you think the community is asking for the most in the form of patches/changes and why do you think that is?
This is a kind of difficult question because ‘The Community’ is not a monolithic bloc in reality – not everyone in the community asks for the same things. Things that are very important to some community members are much less important to others, and sometimes some sections of the community are actually vehemently opposed to the requests of another section. What we try to do is, take a look at what the large groups in the community – DMs, Builders, Custom Content creators, D&D Rules aficionados, Role-players, etc. – generally want, and then try to prioritize those things based on their severity and the resources we have to fix them. I would say that broadly, the biggest things that the community in general has been requesting though are improvements to Custom Content distribution and flexibility, and improvements to MP generally and the DM client specifically. I think they are asking for those because those are broadly the weakest spots with NWN2 right now.
