Cobgratulations. Well indeed, the Blackrazor is cool but useless in BG2. In ToB there are enough better swords.

yeah it was the same one. i finished it with minsc,jaheira,imoen,valygar and viconia (since aerie got turned into a vampire and was killed by drizzt)

Well, that is also part of teh game. Where fights are, people get killed. That's the way fantasy-life is.

Well, yeah, people die, but this one was really unnecessary. They made a nice little quest "Save your loved one". Otherwise their would have been no romance at all in ToB, because all the loved ones would die in SoA and you can not start a new one in ToB. *still confused*

I don't think it matters who kills them. Have a look at the books in Bodhi's inner sanctum, and see if they ring any bells.

She (the same with all the lovers) was not completely turned ! And Bodhi herself had some books. One of them tells you about curing people infected with vampirism. All of the books tell you of a temple who owned those books. The monks tell you where they got the books from which all leads you to a place where you have already been and where you can cure you darling. Thias was a topic of oh so many posts yet. *sighs in frustration*

You're certainly under no obligation to raise your love interest if you'd prefer to go kill Irenicus immediately. It's completely up to you.

But if you want to, it could hardly be easier. The book in Bodhi's lair tells you *exactly* how to do it. If you can't figure it out, those monks can't help you per se, but they will tell you exactly where to go to find someone who can spell out for you exactly what to do.
