Before: The display settings were such that the monitor would shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity and then come back on after shifting the mouse.
Now: The monitor shuts down after 15 minutes now matter how much I'm doing, even when I'm playing a game. Moving the mouse and everything else won't bring the monitor back on. I've gotten around this by changing the setting so that the monitor never turns off. Still, I've got concerns. What's causing this? Does this spell trouble down the road? Does this have any repercussions for my PC's ability to hibernate? |

not sure if this would be it but are the following boxes unchecked:
Control Panel>mouse/keyboard properties (try both)>Hardware(tab)>Properties>Power Management(tab)>Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby Check them if they are not already and try turning your standby settings down for a test. If it fixes it good, if not...then I'd suspect some similar settings are slightly off (ie I doubt there will be future problems) |
