Sound Problems

Well here's a quirky problem. I just installed ToB onto my pc with Vista. Surprising, the game runs. However, I'm only hearing half the sounds in the game. Things like spells and ambient sounds, I can hear. The good stuff like dialogue, battle cries, and attack sounds are all mute. I want to hear "Go for the eyes, Boo!" Anyone heard of this problem? Terrible pun.

Have you tried turning EAX on and off and playing with the other sound settings?

That's what the problem boiled down to. ALchemy was acting up, disabling EAX. Thanks for the help.
