What is the best way to protect my party (3 people +) from feeblemind?
At present i don't have a mage. I have three fighters, a cleric and a paladin. I'd be willing to pick up Edwin if that'd help. Is there anything other than dispel magic, which as far as i can detect only works on one person. The bit i'm trying to pass is the little guys (halflings??) in the planar sphere who keep casting feeblemind. I guess i could get a mage and use invisible stalker, but is there a better way??? Heck i don't even know if invisible stalker is immune to feeblemind. HELP!! |

Hi Tobold and Welcome to the boards.
You say you have a Cleric. Try to cast the 5th level cleric spell Chaotic command. it makes one person immune to mind attacks. If you don't have chaotic commands, try and have your cleric cast some animal summonings to go in front. See if you can lure him to cast his spells on them. Also try and use potions of speed and ranged attacks to prevent him from casting the spell. If you have a potion of invisibility try using that and sneak in on him in close combat. If you have neither potions nore high level cleric spells. Then go for ranged attacks. if a party member is unlucky and gets feebleminded the Dispel magic should work on him. |

Dispell Magic has an area affect of 30 ft. Everybody in that area should be helped with it. Other spells will disapear too, not always in your advantage, though. If your Paladin happens to be an Inquisitor, it wouldn't be that annoying to have that spell memorized.
I never had problems with feeblemind. Only with Charm and Confusion. Lilarcor works fine for that. Oh! Forgot about that: Welcome on BoM! ![]() [This message has been edited by Master of Nuhn (edited May 01, 2002).] |

The darksun halflings are a tough bunch, but if Anomen, Aerie or Jaheira are high enough in level you can create an advance guard of magic resistant (and hasted) skeleton warriors or fire elementals (from Jaheira).

Thanks guys. I ended up using a few summoned monsters and casting chaotic commands on my fighters....worked a treat. Beat em first go!
