Hi,
I was trying to set-up some Icewind Dale 2 soundsets to fit with Baldurs Gate 2, but to make the most of it I want to play the sound first. I can't seem to get these sounds to play no matter what player/codec I use. It simply tells me the files are corrupted or some such. These files play fine in the games themselves. Is there a trick to this or are these files not really WAV files? Thanks! |

It's due to the encoding on those ".wav" files. See if you can't convert them to ".acm" files and back again. I think that's how I've done it in the past.
You might need to download an "acm to wav" file converter and if it doesn't convert back, you'll also need a "wav to acm" converter. Google it. |

If that doesn't work, try this:
Download this .zip file and extract it to the folder where your sound files are. http://www.co8.org/forum/attachment....6&d=1118125441 Then, doubleclick the extracted batch utility dewavc.bat (in the same folder) and I believe it will convert all your sound files for you to regular .wav format. Good luck.
