New Board Feature - Thread Tags

    [​IMG] Today's upgrade of the message brings brings with it a new feature - thread tags.

    Thread tagging is a system that allows users to apply their own keywords (tags) to threads. This can allow users to categorize threads based on the actual content. As such, if used consistently, could be a better way to find a specific topic than a full-text search. An added benefit of the use of tags is the tag cloud that will eventually fill up and will offer a quick look at the more widely tagged content.

    In this initial testing stage, tagging is open to everyone who has made more than 15 posts while we evaluate its use. Please note that the tagging system is not a toy, nor a vehicle for humorous/inappropriate tags. The moderators will be able to see who has tagged which thread with what and we will be issuing infractions for any attempts of abusing the relatively open system.

    I really, really hope you didn't enable this feature on AoDA/AoLS.

    If you did, I weep for you and the headaches you'll have in 3... 2...

    It's enabled for all forums for now. Don't be afraid to use them; if we don't think that any are appropriate or make sense for one reason or another we'll just remove them. We're not going to go crazy on the moderation in the testing stage.
