What we asked:Q: Which is your favourite Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn boss? (542 votes total) Firkraag (234) 43% Irenicus (150) 28% Bodhi (73) 13% Unseeing Eye (29) 5% Other (specify in poll comments) (23) 4% Shade Lord (23) 4% Tor'Gal (10) 2% The fact that we love dragons really goes without saying, but let's do it again anyway. The relative majority of those who voted in the poll (43%) claim Firkraag as their favourite SoA boss. The next favourite, with quite a few votes less, is Irenicus with 28% of the votes. After Irenicus we have Bodhi, who is the third most popular Shadows of Amn boss with 13% of the votes. The chunky Unseeing Eye has a few fans as well - he (it?) is the favourite boss of 5% of the poll participants. Somehow (I blame a certain person of the feline persuasion) we forgot to put Kangaxx on the list so he was one of the popular names in the Other poll option. The next name that's come up there was Shangalar, so those two are fairly popular as well. Combined, the Other option received 4% of the votes. Another 4% of the votes have gone to the Shade Lord. The remaining 2% of the votes have been claimed by Tor'Gal the troll, proving once and for all that trolls really don't get much sympathy from anyone. » Current Poll » Previous Polls |

I voted for the Unseeing Eye. As much as I think Irenicus is a great villain with the perfect voice actor, the most memorable fight for me was against the Unseeing Eye. I abused some cheesy tactics against Firkraag (against all the dragons really), but the Unseeing Eye gave me a genuine moment of panic the first time I came face to face (!) with it. Fumbling about my inventory looking for the rod to weaken it was fun. Good times

I may be bad... but I feel gooood!

I'm surprised Irenicus doesn't rank higher. He has all the characteristics that a villain should have: scheming, manipulative, revengeful, power hungry, egotistic, megalomaniac...

Irenicus came a close second to Bodhi. He was close but Bodhi stealing away your lover and turning her/him into a vampire clenched it in her favour.

All that vampire stuff is so cliché... Give me a true villain, not a bunch of losers "hopping around in rented formal wear and seducing everybody in sight with cheesy Euro-trash accents..."

I'll echo Ziad's sentiments. The whole Unseeing Eye quest had an awesome vibe, especially the first time around.

Naw man, Firkraag is where it's at. Cheese tactics or regular tactics, he is still fun to beat.
Irenicus is definitely a great villain, but that battle stressed me out. |
