Korgan is actually a very neat character, and much more than a simple bloodthirsty evil berzerker. He also doesn't warrant the Chaotic Evil alignment, as he seems more Chaotic Neutral or Neutral Evil than CE.
Keep him around long enough and a nicely developed, rich and fairly intelligent persona appears. He's great to have with Mazzy in the party, too...

I believe that Korgan is very brave, even heroic. But just because he is smart (decent Int, IIRC), doesn't make him a good person. Still, I see him as CE - he likes killing, and he's not especially dedicated to anything or anyone.

But that's beyond the point.

I would really like to have him in a party, along with Mazzy.

Strangely, Korgan and Mazzy seem to actually like eachother, at least they did when I had them together with Immy, Jaheira and Minsc.
