i'm trying to transfer my game over to my wifes computer and i can't find the save folder. i'm running IWD on windows 7 64 bit, i've looked in the game folder and tried doing a search for the folder and for the save file with no results. anyone have any tips?

I think new games all store their save games and player data somewhere in the user own's directory. (So that's C:/Documents and Settings/Username/ I think.)
Edit: Oh wait. Didn't see that we're talking about IWD. Go to IWD's main folder and click on the button titled "Compatibility (something)" in the top right of the window. I think the save games are stored there. |

If you have UAC turned on you may have to check the following directory path for the save games: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files (x86)\
Some of those directories are hidden, by the way. |

ya, i found them in the "virtualstore" folder. didn't realize that windows 7 had that feature. it was one of the things that @!$$$& me off in Windows vista(except in vista almost all game save files where there along with a lot of there more important game files) made editing and modding games a nightmare.

You're welcome. As mentioned, this is a product of UAC (User Access Control) and you can turn it off in your control panel under user accounts if it's causing you grief.
