Have you guys ever roleplayed a multiplayer game based on a movie? I was thinking about doing Willow or Lord of the Rings but I bet a lot of people did those already. I'm gonna try Sinbad, the new animated version. Sinbad will be a human swashbuckler, dual-wielding scimitars. I haven't settled on the alignment but I'm leaning towards chaotic good. His first mate is Kale, who will be a neutral good barbarian probably using blunt weapons. The love interest is Marina and being an aristocrat, she'll be a sorcerer or specialist mage. I'm guessing lawful good for her. I'll have to watch the movie so I can get a better feel for their personalities.
Yeah I know it's not as creative as roleplaying your own characters, but it's all about having fun, right? This will be my first time roleplaying BG2 (I only powergamed previously) so the movie will help me stay true. Hehe with a barb, swashie, and sorc I'm practically powergaming anyways. Any suggestions to improve my experience are welcome .[ June 24, 2003, 01:47: Message edited by: Drumheller ] |

It's simplicity that matters

Be that as it may, I have a hard time believing that "roleplaying" a bunch of your own-made characters will make it any easier. If you can't get a roleplaying feel to the game with all the ready NPC-dialogue in the game, then you sure won't be able to do it on your own with a few player-made characters either.

I´ve made a LoTR party once with my favorite characters from the movie. Although I reccomend you play the regular game with the premade NPC´s more than once before you make your own party since alot of the game experience comes from interacting with your party.
