You'll now notice another button called "
" in the bottom-right buttons row after every post's content. What this will do is essentially complement the Reputation feature that you're making good use of already. It is a separate future that does not affect reputation. The biggest difference is that while reputation is semi-private in the sense that other users can't see which posts you repped, Thanking is completely public and the usernames of all the members who thank another member for their posts are listed below the actual posts. This serves a double function - it makes it very easy to thank someone for a post you like without having to just post "Thanks!" or "I like your post!", plus it gives the poster you thank a better feel about how much their posts are appreciated. Particularly in the gaming forums, we have a slew of very knowledgeable members willing to take a lot of their time to produce very detailed responses, so it is only fitting that there be an easy way for members benefiting from it (or simply liking it) making it known without the need for one-word replies. And as an added bonus, this feature quite literally eliminates the need to type out replies with no other purpose than to say "Thanks!". So I'm hoping that you'll all make good use of this new feature - use it often, as it only takes a click to show your liking for any post! And yes, you can THANK ME for this post too.

Then I guess you'll be needing something for posts that aren't liked (other than negative rep). And this post can be the guinea pig!

Heh, funny you should mention that... there's also a Groan mod...
![]() But I'm not going to be installing that. We're one of a few rare boards that manages to function with the negative reputation option enabled as it is. By far the majority of the boards have negative rep turned off because their members aren't mature enough to use it properly. There's a reason Facebook doesn't have a Dislike button... |

I think I just figured out that if you edit a post, it loses its Thank Yous.

Is there a way to see which posts you have thanked and which of your own posts have received thanks?

I just realized I mistakenly thanked 2 posts by clicking the Thanks button when I meant to click the Quote button instead. Oh well, I was going to Thank the most recent one anyway.
