Oh, I can get the "Well Rested" affect - I just never got the Lover's Comfort benefit. However, the wiki link you provided seems to offer the solution. Specifically:

After the wedding, if you choose to move into a house that your spouse owns, sleeping in there gives you the Lover's Comfort bonus and later if you ask them to move into another house, everything will still work fine. Instead, if you ask your spouse to move into a house that you own and not their house right after the wedding, you will only get Well Rested, not Lover's Comfort.

In both times I played and got married, I asked the wife to move into my home immediately following the wedding. Fortunately, that same page offers this quick fix:

If you already ask your spouse to move into a house that you own right after the wedding, simply ask them to move into their house, you will then receive a Miscellaneous quest to visit your spouse's house, after visiting the house, ask your spouse to move into whichever house that you actually want again, wait for them to arrive at the house. From now on, with her/his presence around, you will wake up with Lover's Comfort.

Thanks a ton Paracelsi!
