stranding someone in Spellhold/Asylum

I know I've seen this post a buch of time, and I did a search to no avail.

How can you avoid stranding someone when you grab Imoen? I first dumped Anomen (he said he'd me me at the Coronet, I said wait here), then I dumped Nalia after stripping her naked.

How do I get her home?
anyway?

I don't know for sure, because I had Yoshimo, but don't all the NPCs give you the option of sending them home or to the CC when you dump them?

She didn't.

I quick dumped anomen so as I could have nalia use up her spells before ditching her.
He sid he'd go, she said she'd stay.

I may go back and kick her out before the dream sequence, and see if she'll go home then...

Depending on where you dump an NPC and when, they may not give you a choice of meeting them back at the corrnet. I've had that problem twice. The first time, I dumped Valygar imediately after I entered the Planar Sphere. The game would only give me the dialog option of telling the whole, no don't go, wait right here bit. Anyway, he's been there ever since(very rude house guest, wish my golem would bounce him

). I will assume the assylum is the same way. I dumped Jan there for Imoen, and the game would only allow me to tell him to stay. As far as I know, he's still there. So I don't believe there is anyway around it. Sorry.

I think what seems to work for me is when I reform the party/dismiss a NPC when my party is right outside of the Assylum. -That is if you do not have Yoshimo in your party that is.

The only issue is that your smaller party has to lug around equipment that you strip from the dismissed party member. Imoen will eventually carry some of this until you go gather up the bag of holding. Which I do immediately after Imoen joins my party.

If you have Jahiera in yout party, you can dump her off in the Asylum and she says she'll return to the Harper's compound in the Docks District. However, she won't be very pleased about being abandoned and says that she doesn't see how things will be the same between the two of you. Maybe she won't mind if the two of you aren't romantically involved...

I dropped her off right outside the Asylum, and she said she'd stay.
I went back to Brynlaw and she said she's stay there too, so I dumped her.
When I got back she wasn't there.

I'm goin' to check the ***** house.....

What is this whole thread about??
The way from Athkatla to spellhold is done so quickly, its less waste of time to reload (kick out whomever you want) and redo the little journey, than connect to this forum and get a post off.

You don't have to take Imoen. She will make her way out if you leave her. I found that I prefered my party the way I entered, so I left Imoen.

The 'brotherly love' thing kinda got me.

And I hated Nalia's whining.

And her lame thief stats.

And especially that "How are we helping the less fortunate..."

"I hate cities. They're built on the backs of the..."

Nalia get on my nerves too...
Well only Imoen(as far as I know)can go back to the mainland.
If you dont want to lose a NPC drop him before going in the boat ride.I always take yoshi mosty because of the story and Imoen is a far better that Nalia, Imoen have a extra spell slot, better Thieft skills and the higher level they get is the same.
