I have a bit of question to ask regarding the import and export of characters. After playing SoA for quite a while my Kensai is at level 9, after reading a couple of FAQs I want to Dual-Class her. But, her Wisdom is too low. I was thinking about creating a new character with sufficient Wisdom, and using a cheat to get her XP up to my current character, and then exporting her. Then going back to my current game, and importing her to replace my current character. Then Dual classing and continuing then game.
Does this seem like a good idea? Or is there a better way to get the most of my Kensai? |

Seems to be it would be easier to cheat and just up your current character's wisdom. Imported characters start from the begining of the game.

Yeah - that sounds much better, but how do I do that? What's the cheat to just up one stat?

There are two ways,
Either use a third party editor such as shadowkeeper. May Cause your game to mess up but easy to use. Or use the console, SLIGHTLY harder but more reliable. You could look it up but to save you time Ill give you a step by step guide. (And people say Im mean!)

Use my computer and find baldur.ini (in you BG2 Directory)
Open it and under the heading [program options] type 'debug mode=1' without the '
In Game press Ctrl + Space bar to open the console
Type, 'CLUAConsole:CreateItem("BookX",N)'[/list]This is where X is the tome, (I think Wisdom is 06) which you should place in your quick Item slot ad use to raise your wisdom 1 point. and N is the quantity, how ever many points you want to raise it by. I don't think the wisdom tome works. I couldn't even put it in my quickitem slot.
If it doesn't work you should open up your invintory, put the tome and any potion by each other (I dont know if that matters though) drink the potion but dont leave the invintory screen. Then you put the tome where the potion was and the potion where the tome was and then you leave your invintory screen. Then if you did this right you character should use the tome. (this also works for casting spells, sometimes I use it for find familiar) |

Mini validation towards Mr.writer
![]() "debug mode" should be "Debug Mode"; And yes, tome of wisdom actually doesn't work. |
