Reviane & her Harper goons

Waht are the consequences of killing Reviane when she appears? I know my first time through I had a high rep (16?) and she didn't attack. Second time I don't recall what I did.
This time I only have a rep of 15 and I'm worried that when I kill her, it'll kill the whole Harper quest.

I think there was a thread a couple days ago that glance over this topic, but I can't remember it's name.

Anyway, I've gone through it w/ low and high rep. When Revaine talks to Jaheira, you can tell Jaheira to disclose that you're Bhaalspawn or tell her you prefer to keep your past secret and do what she feels is best. This option of keeping your past secret causes Revaine to remain peaceful.

Killing Revaine doesn't seem to kill the quest. Dermin still comes on the next phase. Although your romance counter w/ Ms. J may not go as high if you kill Revaine (See Jaheira romance warning thread).

Lastly, if I haven't confused you enough already, somebody seemed to indicate in a previous post(vague enough?) that if you are of evil alignment, you can't get out of the fight w/ Revaine. Hope that helps.

She is weak any way, so you can kill her.
It won't kill your reputation, but I believe that Jaheira doesn't like you that much anymore, because I'm in chapter 5 and I still haven't heard a thing about romancing!

then try picking a non half-orc,dwarf, gnome character, maybe a half-elf or a human...

I participated in theat topic last week, but searched for it a few ways, and it never turned up (though I thought it was more like a month ago).

Romance is for human/ halfelf/ elf races only, so that´s why halforcs, dvarves and other races can´t romance in BG-2.

However, anyone played a halfling character - can he have a romance with Mazzy Fantan?

I played a Halfling first time through and there didn't seem to be any romance with Mazzy. Also, if you use the cluaconsole to check her romance rating it says she has hasn't got one. So, I guess, halfings don't get any either.

It's just a thought. Personally, I rather relish pointing out these Mazzy posts to James and Kevin anyways.

If we decide to include a Mazzy romance, anyway, then there's nothing lost...it's included in our time schedule. If we don't, then we would have to sacrifice time from writing and scripting...which means less areas can be included. The really big grey area, though, relies on how complicated the romance is and how many bugs we get from it...bug-fixing time is probably the most aggravating thing you have to account for when making a schedule, but you have to include it or it isn't realistic.

It might not be much, it could be lots."
