Familiar is hungry

How in the heck do you feed a familiar? Do you wait until it gets injured or what?

Isn't there an option to feed it when you talk to it? Or was that in NWN mayhaps?

There is a way to feed your familiar, but it can't be discussed in this forum.

Just stow it to your backpack and forget about it.

I only summoned it for the extra hitpoints, but it's bugging me now. It says in the manual to heal your familiar by feeding it - so why does this ferret of mine want food right off the bat? Is he just greedy? Or is it something not implemented in the game engine that got forgotten?

LOL, I don't think I've ever taken my familiars out of my pack! I never knew they needed to be fed. I guess he was munching on the rations in my pack.

They don't actually need feeding; I am pretty sure you can feed/shout at your familiar for the entire game (or not at all) and nothing will happen.

Maybe that's why the drinks at Five Flagons are flooring my cleric/mage, even after a hearty, halfling-cooked meal.
