Just seen in one walktrough that if you have a fighter protagonist and cast "draw upon holy might" just before leveling up allows you to get extra HP PERMANENTLY?Mean HP for Con. 21 instead of 18?

That's a new one. The spell only lasts for one turn so unless you're really close to your next level, the spell will expire before you level up.

Have you tried it?
Let us know if it does work, that would be quite interesting. Although you'd need to cast it just before you go to the character creation screen to level up. |

Now that I think about it, I can see where that might work. I have heard that if mages drink Potions of Genius (INT=25), they can scribe more spells into their spellbook while the potion is in effect. |

I've used this trick several times to overcome the limit of 9 spells per level for my bard (INT 14).

I don't see where either of those would be considered cheats.

Well you get HP Pernamently for Con. you dont't actually have.Ok it could not be cheat but it's still unfair i think.

If you drink a potion of genius, scribe some scrolls then use them, would you lose the extra spell slots after you use the spells?

As far as I know, they are there for good. After all, once they are written, then you don't consume them by casting them - you are only consuming your intimate knowledge of how to cast the spell, which is what you learn each day. Increasing your intelligence temporarily to scribe extra spells might seem a little dodgy, but it's just the same as revising for an exam

Yes, the "extra" spells stay in your book. Remember you're not gaining an extra CASTING slot, just more spells to choose from when you're filling those casting slots.
Think of the reverse situation - spells aren't erased from your BOOK when a mind flayer does intelligence drain, but you do lose the ability to CAST some spells. |

Well knowing more spells do not make you actually more powerfull (at leas not much)but HP bonus (up to 16 HP I think) do.That's a whole hit more
)AND the game does not know whitch spell have you learned at last(with the int. bonus) in order to erase it but it CAN make the HP bonus dissapear when Con. goes back to normal...

Temporarily increase INT via potions of genius to learn spells beyond a set limit.
Temporarily increase CON via Draw upon holy might to gain hit points beyond a set limit. IMHO (let me emphasize the HUMBLE), these cases are parallel. I think the first is legit, so I also think the second is fair game too. I'd like to call it a clever usage of the spell. Before reading this thread, I never cast or memorize that spell.. but now I'm definitely reconsidering!
