A friend and I are playing on a LAN, but we would like to switch computers. (She's using MINE!!) The game was created and saved on one computer (A), so we cannot load it from the other (B). If I copy the saved game from A to B, will she be able to load and control her character from there? We can trade off control of all the NPCs and even my own created character, but her sorcerer is the protagonist, so that makes her the leader, which apparently defaults game control to her.
Am I making any sense here? There's got to be an easy way to do this ...

As far as I remember itīs impossible to do that.
Itīs up to the host to control that. When I remember correctly: When you create or load a new multiplayer game there is a menu that allows the host to allow the guests to talk/ buy etc independently. That should help to solve your problem. I played BG-II the last time in a LAN in november when I and a friend just bought our BG-IIs the very day it was released (in Germany) and played it the same night and through the next day

PS: When you host the game and sheīs the main protagonist itīs your fault

Thanks, but that's not the answer I was hoping for.
![]() We've already set up those permissions from that menu, but it doesn't allow her to control her sorcerer from the other computer. Ah, well ... live and learn ... heh,heh |

Hmm, maybe this works: let she host the next game on the faster one of both computers. She then possibly has full control of her char for sheīs host.
Things like this take fun out of network games. But life would be boring without challanges
