Firebead Elvenhair Scroll?

    Spelling mistake? Why doesn't he have the scroll to steal back from him? Looks like I'll miss out on the 50 xp and potion of healing just to keep that Identify scroll! :coffee2:

    Identify scrolls are one of the more common drops and are widely available. If it was something rarer it might be worth it, but you should be able to find Identify elsewhere.
    Also once you have your mage scribe it, you can have your cleric memorize healing spells while your mage fills up his first level with identify spells. Then heal the party (if you don't use the "heal upon rest" cheat) and identify your items. Then have the cleric rememorize the combat spells and have the mage rememorize his normal loadout. Hint, you can also have the mage memorize Vampirc Touch and cast it on himself and due to a bug it will heal him up to his max normal HP. Better is if he casts it on somebody with a CON of 20+ before resting. The person damaged will regenerate and the mage will transfer the HP to him.

    https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Firebead's_Scroll - The notes there suggest that EE Firebead's has been bugged since the beginning with no follow-ups to say it was fixed. I wonder if there is an add-on patch for it or something. Those notes also suggested that BG2EE was on hold until the legal problems with Atari were solved to allow game patches, and since BG2EE is out I'd assume something was resolved. Something to look for.
