Updated Patch Notes for 1.23 Beta
The patch is currently at Atari for final testing. I would expect it should be released in the next couple weeks. Hopefully next week.

Visible shield when riding?
The joust uses a different animation set and thus accounts for and has the lforearm helper node for where the shield gets attached to. The regular riding animations don't have that as we had serious problems with clipping and trying to account for all the possible shield sizes. The shield is still there, just not displayed.

Can't figure out how to pass a player from one server to another

If this works like NWN1 all this does is tell your client to log into another server with the current character. If that server is servervault, both servers will either need to share their vault filestore or somehow make sure that the the bic is transferred before the ActivatePortal call is issued (see Vaultster for NWN1).
I believe this is all automated with NWN2 and the Autodownloader.

Farewell NWN2 Community
Well, it's been a fun ride. This Thursday, July 2nd, will be my last day at Obsidian Entertainment.

I have truly enjoyed my last three years working with the NWN2 community. Thanks to everyone that have made this such an enjoyable experience.

I will continue to lurk here, as a NWN2 player, so I won't be far away.

Matt Rorie, and others will be popping in here to keep an eye on things after I am gone.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

It is also helpful to let us know your game version.

Patch problem
Make sure you turn off your antivirus and Windows defender during patching. Those programs often try to access the section of disk at the same time and often see all the read/writes during patching as something bad.

1.69 Bug with wings and feats ?

1) Our wing models (Jet pack in fact) are no more visible when we equip them.

Has it something to do with the Visible Cloaks=1 in nwnplayer.ini ?
Well there are two cases:

If the wings are cloak models, it would make sense that they stop appearing if you disabled cloaks in the .INI file.

If they are wing models, enabling visible cloaks and putting one on causes the cloak to hide the wing models from appearing.

Might be better to just apply the wings as an actual cloak model instead of a wing model applied via cloak item and script.



2) Some custom created feats seem to have disappeared when a DM is possessing a NPC, but everything works fine with the players.
I believe there's two methods of possessing an NPC, you can try to use the other method i.e. without full DM powers and verify that's what causes the feat list to change.

Your favorite class
When I first started playing, my first character was an Elf. I don't think I need to say anything else.

Then I found I preferred Rogues and Rangers.

When I started NWN2, I played a Paladin - because I was testing the city watch path before moving on to other things, and because it was the class I ended up playing a lot of in NWN1.

In the end, I have gone back to rogues, mostly in NWN2, with a bit of Paladin on the side. I also like the Warlock (don't hit me).

If they're going to make a 3rd expansion...I hope the focus is back on the story.

Does it matter that they won't be resolved? If people find entertainment in debating these ideas, why artificially stop them? If you don't want to take part in or watch the debate, just don't come back to the thread. As long as people aren't going off-topic (and this one hasn't), I don't see the harm in letting people endlessly talk. What's "enough" for you is "just getting started" for others.
Debates and discussions are fine. But when the thread devolves into arguments and insults, that crosses the line. When you start talking about the other person instead of the issue, you should know that you may be crossing the line.

Keep the discussions about the topic at hand, not about the person.

I can't wait for this module to be released! If I can free up some time, I'll give you some help testing it.

Cutscenes/Triggers Not Firing After 1.22 Patch
This usually happens when there is a hiccup loading the module you are in for the first time. Often, just going back to the last module you were in and then loading into the new module will solve it.

For Lazarus, that would mean starting the game over from the tutorial.

If that doesn't help, then a code to go past that point works. The problem is that some of the campaign switches don't get set that way and could cause trouble later on.

Question re: superset model and horses
a_dfa - female dwarf (and half-orc), I believe we already have support for riding phenotypes for them.

a_dfa_coat - female dwarf for the longcoats and skirts, I don't believe we have any horse versions for these. Would have made ragnarok_mr4's head burst from all the animation work (that's another reason we didn't add cloak support for horses).

hss_pfd0 - not part of core NWN (+patches), so it's most likely a community made supermodel animation set, and thus unlikely to have support for horses.
