Adding Last-Minute Features
This journal entry is the latest in a series of articles that form a development diary of Troika's latest game, the Temple of Elemental Evil (or ToEE for short). I am Tim Cain, the project leader of ToEE and co-owner of Troika Games. In this article, I will talk about the unplanned features that made it into the game at the last minute, before we had to feature lock the game for bug testing. In essence, I want to talk about the "cool shit" that made it into the game. Some of these features are pure eye (or ear) candy, but others change the feel and play of the game. All of these features are ones that someone on the development team cared deeply enough about that they worked extra hard to add them.
