Quite surprisingly - to me, at least - the overwhelming majority of poll participants (78%) own a computer DVD drive. This really begs the question why, then, are we still being forced to install games off 3 CDs or more. Either our visitors are highly unusual in having so many DVD drives, or the game publishers aren't doing proper market research (or maybe they're waiting for 100% coverage?). Of course, there's also the fact that even 3 CDs at the mass prices are probably still cheaper than one DVD, but we would NEVER suspect the game publishers of continuing to shove multiple CDs down our throats just to save a few cents off every customer...

14% of those who voted don't have a computer DVD drive yet, but are thinking about getting one. Though presumably the reason here isn't the abundance of (game) titles released on DVD, but rather the low price of DVD drives today.

Lastly, 9% of people who voted don't own a DVD drive yet, and have no intention of getting one. Of course, if you're not someone to watch movies on a PC, you really don't have much cause to go out and buy a DVD drive at this point, if you have a CD-ROM already.
