    [IMG] One party I had fun with that most people haven't tried is an all-evil party. Since it doesn't pay to be evil in BG it makes for a bit of work. Most of the evil NPC's don't get used often because they cause conflicts with reputation and such. Reputation can be kept at a good neutral level (12). This way the NPC's won't rebel, but you won't pay twice the price for items. If by accident you do good, and your reputation goes up, just charm a townsperson, remove them to a dark corner and sadisticaly torture and kill them. My evil party consisted of:

    Me: Evil Elf Fighter
    Sharteel: Evil Human Fighter
    Viconia: Evil Drow Cleric (Drow!!!!)
    Edwin: Evil Human Conjurer
    Montaron: Evil Hafling Fighter/Theif
    Tiax: Evil Gnome Cleric/Theif

    Montaron and Tiax share the thieving duties and can both fight. Everyone in this party can fight well, except for Edwin who doesn't need to. I'm not saying that these are the best NPC's overall, just that they are the best for an all-evil party. Mmmmm.... Evil... :D

    i kept my rep. around 9 after all i was playing an evil party. my main character had an CHR. of 18, which will knock those prices down slightly, but not enough. it was tough getting my hands on the Shadow Armor and the Light Xbow of speed though @ the smithy in Beregost. got a laugh out of the way you lowerd your Rep. if it got too high.

    [IMG] IMHO, you can make a better all-evil team then that ! (although that's pure MY feeling about it) :

    Kagain (big bloody tank) and Shar-Teel (archer-woman)
    Viconia (healer)
    Edwin (super spellslinger)
    Tiax (extra spells)
    yourself = thief (pure thief)

    They ROCK, believe me

    Evil is certainly the coolest, but I keep a good party, so that items are cheaper.

    Personaly I found Kagain to be a sub-par fighter, so I felt the need to have one fighter who was really good. Apart from Sharteel that is.

    Montaron and Xzar would make great Milwall fans.
