You have to come back to them after you go to the djinni. There will be a dialogue choice that asks for the lamp and it's yours. Definitely worth the extra effort. BTW, its acorns not unicorns.

Just a thought: The sword you recieve is a weaker version of the one Sarewok used in bg1. This is because it was drawing power from him. Now, what if you keep the sword all the way to TOB and gives it to him? Will the sword then return to it's former glory?

Good Question, also, if you cant be arsed to give the real lamp to the djinni, pickpocket the dryad on the left, and you get a fake one, pointless, but evil!

The sword is a great asset to getting anywhere on BGII, as it can hit most creatures normally protected by regular weapons, and is found really early (and you also start with a suitable wielder, Minsc, unless your stupid, or evil, enough to get rid of him.)

He's useless (Minsc), He's dumb as SH*T he's annoying he has a hamster and he has a annoying voice. Go for Keldorn instead and sell the sword or use it yourself. (And kill Minsc as the first thing you do)

I never kept Minsc. Especially compared to Keldorn w/gauntlets of dexterity.... Plus, if he sais "hamsters and rangers everywhere" one more time, I will stuff the Sword of Chaos up.....

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about Minsc...Whenever he starts that business, 'you and Boo and I,' I click on his icon just to hear him say something else. Jaheira, too, when she cuts in with her 'I hope this is not a sign of things to come' bit. She's been saying that since the beginning of chapter 2. OF COURSE this is a sign of things to come!!

Ok, Minsc annoys you. But I love his "AWWWWWW, we're all heros...". But nm. Take him or leave him, it doesn't matter.

But be warned: if you take Keldorn in party, that automatically means goodbye for Edwin, Korgan and Viconia. If you can live with it, take him. I couldn't live with it, so I used Keldorn only to defeat Kangaxx and Twisted Rune bastards in Chapter 2, and then I dumped him for good and sold Carsomyr. A blasphemy :p
