[IMG] Okay ... we are currently looking at news and info on two games in development ... G:TTOEE & TJP (real name pending).

I'm begining to get deja vu from all the IWD2 or NWN posts that we had ... and wanted to start a similar thread for these two games.

Granted, we know next to nothing about the games, except for a few tidbits and the past records of the developers.

Based on what you know ... which game are you leaning towards. To put it in real-life terms, if both were relased on the same day, which would you buy?

(I didn't do a poll on this one ... figured it was a tad hasty)

I'm eagerly looking forwards to both games as both seem to have lots to offer without imitating the other. Greyhawk is in Greyhawk, not the Forgotten Realms as it looks like Jefferson perhaps is. Both seem to offer a solid role-playing experience, though Jefferson moreso and Greyhawk probably has a lot more combat.
It's these two games that I am most anticipating for 2003 (alongside Master Of Orion 3 if they ever see fit to release it).

Both. If I could only afford one, I'd put them together in a box and make them fight for my love.

Oh boy. WHich to choose. Well, both, obviously. They each have something to offer, Greyhawk it's unique setting that promises something differant. Jefferson has the old familiar Forgotten Realms setting where I'd sorta know my way around a bit. Both developers have proven track records. So, yeah, both. :D

No mention of Lionheart, the game the Fallout guys are currently working on? That one would get my vote if it was included, just from the pedigree of the team.

EDIT: Oh, I get it now...D&D rules only, is that it? and I'm sure I read somewhere Lionheart's going to use a modified SPECIAL system, like Fallout. Sorry.

[IMG] Ahh...erm, this will seem like a very stupid question.. but what engine will these 2 games be?

I don't know if this has been addressed before or not.

Both new and both different engines. All 3D, one way or another.

[IMG] I also have a question that might have been answered before. If it's the case, well, sorry!! Here's my question (or questions, I should say!!):
How do we know Jefferson is a D&D game? Has it been announced officially? Do we know if it's 3E? And how do we know it'll take place in the Forgotten Realms?

Of course, if both are D&D, I'll buy both. Given I have yet to play BGII and both IWD, and that spare time is few and apart, I'll probably play those games sometime in 2005!!

Officially, we don't know, since it hasn't been announced yet. But if you'd follow the front page closely where we post Jefferson board news, you'd have seen many FR references, among other things. And the fact that Sean K. Reynolds (one of the people who worked on 3e stuff at WoTC) is working on it as well pretty much tells you all you need to know.

    Hurm... 3D. Not good :(

That means I'll have to upgrade my comp before those games get out.

Any estimate on when ToEE comes out?

Then I know wether I'll have long enough to save cash to buy me either a new comp, or to just upgrade my RAM and Videocard.
