    Hey all,

    I was wondering:
i'm now in the drow city, not much longer to get back home,

Is it too late to get the hammer of thunderbolts from the mind flayer in the tunnles underneath the temple destrict, though i already destoryed the cult of the eyeless but didnt get any key to that damn locked hidden door?

or maybe its not that door?

anyway, i had 2 hiden doors there: 1 to the mage lair, and another one i couldnt open.
it is in the upper wall.

another question s regarding mazzy. i was suppose to free her\him from the temple ruins, when exacly? and what now if i already killed the shade lord?

last one: guarded compound in the temple destrict: there is someone there i should have taken his sword or something?
again, i'm soon leaving the underdark, is it too late?

    please help.

p.s jansen is with 190 pick pocketing, and happy me just bought hm 2 thievery potions. happy happy to steal from shoppies, aye :)
(i know it's not proper english, my char screej talks like that in my story)

The key to the illithid lair in the sewers (upper door) can be found elsewhere. Specificly in Windspear Hills from looting Firkraags corpse.

I don't know about Mazzy, give it a shot and travel there to see if you can free her.

The guarded compound indeed holds a mighty sword, you should be able to get it after visiting the Underdark.

The key is in the Windspear Hills, but it isn't on Firkraags corpse. Beyond that, memory is failing me - I forget in which of two locations you'll actually find the key ;)

You cant create the Crom Fayer from the Hammer of Thunderbolts till Chapter 6 anyway, so its not too late. The key into that lair is found in Firkaag's dungeon in Windspear hills. Its to the far left after the room full of undead and Vampires.
If you have already finished the shade lord's quest, how come you haven't found Mazzy yet? She is in the prison cell just after entering the dungeon. You need the key from the jailor shade. Even if you dont find it now, its ok. Mazzy is no great NPC imo.
No one goes away just coz you went off to ind Imoen. They will all be very happy to stay around till you decide to slay them

IIRC the key is on Tazoc's corpse. He is in a room at the north end, just before Firkraag's lair. Also Lord Windspear's daughter is in that room.

    Hmm guyz...

    10x, first of all.

Welp, I already did the shade lord quest. there is no sign of that mazzy :) i read se has a weapon, thougt maybe can come in use or something :) :) :)

Firkraag dungeon...been there, met him, left him, killed his servent, freed the kid. nowhere have i saw that dang key. question is: does that hammer actually worth it?
I mean, viconia, imoen and korgan use the gloves of dex, and girdles of fort&giant str... it'd be a shame to ruin their "improved" stats :)

But it is worth the trouble? even if not, it's exp :)
P.s how come i dont get notified about replies?
i have an email defined and marked "inform me on replies".

Crappy short sword, usable by halflngs only.

Don't think I've ever got the Crom Fayer made. I too prefer to spread around the items. Not worth the trouble.
Why do Viccy or Imoen get any of those Dex and Str improving items? imo it does not help them much.

I usually give Viccy a strenght belt. However, I think Crom Feyor isn't worth it if you're playing with a party. Not that much XP for doing the Illithid cave with Hammer of Thunderbolts either.

CF is a mammoth weapon! i've got a F/C using the FOA and Anomen using CF and nothing has stood in my way for long! There are other ways to up your NPC's strength thru'out the game anyway.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to free Mazzy now, I sincerely doubt, the game will probably rule she is dead. Simply due to the following, although given she is downstairs she may still be there. Anyway, any npc or equipment you leave upstairs before going through the "shade temple" is lost to the game, and thus ruled forever lost or deceased, due to the area basically being deleted, because once you go through the "shade temple", and then kill the shade lord the map changes. I don't know if inside the temple changes. Personally I've always freed Mazzy instead of leaving her behind, and made sure I looted outside and inside fully, so I have everything :)

key is on Tazok. CF is worth it and Mazzy's sword is no biggy and i don't think you can save mazzy because after beating shade lord area no changes (i remember reading sth about kicking someone out of the party and telling him to stay there also causes that char to disappear forever)

The exterior of the Temple Ruins changes, but not the interior levels. Mazzy may still be waiting to be rescued--if you still have the key, that is.

I find that Crom generally is not worth it; you're better off distributing the items among the party.
