Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can identify these symbols?

A friend of mine, who has a lot of antique valuable jewellery, gave me two either vintage or antique silver bracelets. It was a little hard to photograph the stamps in them so this was the best I could do. Any help with translation or identification could help.

In the first image I know the lower symbol does mean sterling silver.

Can't help with the symbols, but if you want to post something like that from your albums again, just copy/paste the "Share BB |IMG| (With Thumbnail) Code:" code from the image pages on the right. You can also use the camera icon in the text editor to pick the images you want to add to your post.

I tried comparing them to Coast Salish symbols that I could find, but nothing rings a bell.

Thanks for trying, B. The one on the bottom says pattern line silver in Mandarin I believe. The upper symbol in the first picture is the same as the lower symbol in the second picture. (The symbol for sterling silver.) They are just at different rotations. The only thing I don't know now is the lower symbol in the first image.

The second character on the first one (and maybe the second one too) does look like silver (yin) in simplified Chinese: 银

In the first character, the left radical does look like the one in chun (as in chun yin - sterling silver): 纯银. The right radical is different though.

Maybe it's not sterling silver but a similar expression?

I cleaned up the image and threw it in an OCR model. Apparently it spells wenyin - grained silver: 纹银
