    Pretty lost for words here. Talk about blaming just about everyone and everything except the psycho with the gun. About the only thing I agreed with in his entire statement was when he said that it would help if there was a national database of the mentally ill so they could tell when someone who shouldn't have a gun doesn't get one when he fills out the questionairre. But that's all undone by other statements like this:

    "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"

    So it's the fault of the media, violent movies, violent video game, the glorification of violence in rap videos, and just about anything else you can think of - but not the crazy guy with the assault rifle.

    I am sometimes amazed by the level of reasoning and problem solving in some countries. I thought certain kinds of insanity only happened in South Park. But I guess I should have known better after hearing that quote from Snatch: "Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

    I'm sorry guys. I don't want to generalize and I know there are a lot of smart folks in the US, but some people are making you look bad.

    If I were a kid and saw an armed guard as I went to school, day in and day out, I'd be scared spitless!

    In any event, though, the shooter would likely simply take out the guard and take the weapon, merely increasing his kill potential. Not cool.
