[IMG] In the BG1 when i am playing with gnome or elf thief/mage(illusionist), i have only one weapon slot. This way it's very hard to switch from bow to sword, when enemies coming closer... :)
I saw the same at ranger/cleric, but after installing the ToSC too, it is fixed.
Does anybody knows where can i find the patch, which fixes this bug? Is it a bug, or this is normal?

I believe it isn't a bug. A mage always has one weapon slot.... and your thief/mage also only one. Just go for ranged fighting in the beginning, until you have a good stealth and good thaco with melee and then switch to melee.

Hint: Learn many close range and touch-spells with your mage, like vampiric touch, burning hands.... after you backstabbed someone you are close to enemy wich makes these spells very useful for this multiclass.

I checked again, not only the Thief/Mage but the Fighter/Thief/Mage gets only one weapon slot. It's not fair, because in the BG2 both gets two slots...
If i'm not strong enough of course i wont use melee weapon. But when the enemy gets closer, i would like to switch... and unfortunately the inventory screen unpauses the game. :(

I've got the same problem. As soon as i got a wand of monster summoning (found somewhere) i used summoned monsters for pausing the game. If you let the game stop on every end of round, the pause will end if you open your inventory, but the game stops again at the end of a monsters round.
If my tief/mage is invisible i can open the inventory without getting problems.
