TuTu noob - also, 1ppv4 question?

    Yo.

After stumbling onto some new portrait packs, I've become interested in a run-through of the old battleaxe. This time I'd like to do a successful runthrough of TuTu, or BG Trilogy - or whichever recipe will let me start in BG1 and end in ToB.

Recommendations (and install order) much appreciated.

The only other mods I'm thinking of including are Ease of Use and the Bonus Merchants, plus the Widescreen mod. I've always loved Item Upgrade, but I'm worried about compatibility with the mod I'm MOST excited about...

...which is 1 Pixel Productions v4 (or 1ppv4).

I'm hoping someone can shed some light here. According to the link, the download is corrupted. But if you read the forums, the corruption was misreported, and you only get "corruption" if you install the G3 widescreen mod BEFORE installing 1ppv4. Yet, the download page hasn't been updated. The download link is still live, but it has a goofy .7z designation, vs. a .rar. Not sure what to do next, and I really really really want this mod.

    Help me, I'm dumb.

Continuous run through requires BGT. But there are less mods for BGT, though most now work on both. You just gotta do your research and it all depends on what you want to add to your game.

Never tried 1PP tbh. I am pretty sure it goes after the Widescren mod though. Tried just about everything else. If you have never tried it in a previous game, try Alternatives for BG2. A good mod that adds more paths to Spellhold if you are bored of siding with Bohdi or the Shadow Thieves. It's a nice option for the good guys.

Thre is also a new NPC mod for BG1. His name is White, a Barbarian found in Ulcaster Ruins. He is a not change of pace from the usual warrior-types of BG1.

.7z is a 7-Zip archive... it's pretty obscure but it has a small circle of hard-core fans that try to push it on everyone for anything they post for download which is annoying... but the latest versions of WinRAR can decompress 7z archives.

It provides only slightly better compression than WinRAR at the "expense" of being a completely unknown format to the wide the majority of Internet users (many of which haven't even heard of RAR yet...) so I'm not using it for downloads on SP.

Oh, ok - so it (presumably) works then. I'll give it a shot this weekend then, along with BG Trilogy.

    Noice.

Any luck? I avoided 1pp in my current BGT installation, purely for the reason that I dislike the half-orc paper-doll. Oh, and some of the paper-dolls (male elf being one, I believe) don't align properly with helmets.

GOG has a short how-to for how to install BGT on top of their versions of BG and BG2, if it's of any help.
