    I figured it'd be fun to see who, without mods, you take for your party, and what items they wield!

    So far I only like having 3 npcs with me...not good enough to find the upper tier weapons either.

    Anomen - FoA, Crom Fayre (if I put it together), Erianne's sling, Sling of Seeking
    Jan Jansen - Firetooth, Cutthroat, crossbow +1, Arbane's sword
    Imoen/Nalia (whether I get Imoen early or not) - Gesen bow, SotM, shortbow +1, quarterstaff +2
    Valygar - CF, Equalizer, Valygar's katana
    PC - Carsomyr, Sword of Chaos, The Wave

    OK, if I were just going to make a generic party for an easy run through, I'd have:

    PC R/C multiclass dual wielding Flail of the Ages and Crom Faeyr (yeah, powergaming)
    Keldorn wielding Carsomyr
    Jaheira dual wielding Blackblood and Belm
    Jan wielding Tansheron's bow after earning his first proficiency point, later Firetooth
    Minsc wielding Lilicor at first, and later going to Azuredge and finally AotU.
    Yoshimo/Imoen - I'd take Yoshimo early on to compensate for Jan's less than stellar thief skills early on. He leaves right when Jan is coming into his own as an extremely capable thief. Imoen I usually equip with Gesen.

    PC F/M - Dual-wielding the Celestial Fury and Blade of Roses, later on the Equalizer -> Blackrazor.
    Keldorn - Carsomyr
    Anomen - Flail of Ages/Sling of Seeking, mayby Crom Faeyr later,though I think I want the girdle and gloves instead.
    Jan - Firetooth.
    Aerie - Sling of Everard, Staff of the Magi
    Imoen - Tugian Bow, later Gesen.

    -Annoy-Man: Mace +1 -> Flail of Ages +3 -> Mage of Disruption -> Crom Faeyr

    -Yoshimo/Imoen: Tuigan -> Gesen

    -Edwin: Quarterstaff +1 & Sling -> Cleric's Staff +3 & Sling of Seeking +2 -> Staff of Air +2 & Sling +3 Arla's Dragonbane -> Staff of the Magi & Sling of Everard +5

    Well, here's what I used in my "ultimate" party:

    Fighter/Illusionist protagonist: Dual weild Axe of Unyeilding and Equalizer
    Jaheria: Firetooth/Spectral Brand
    Keldorn: Carsomyr
    Anomen: Flail of Ages
    Imoen: Staff of the Magi, Gesen
    Mazzy: That uber Halberd in ToB and Tuigian bow. If I could do it over, she'd be dual weilding with Crom Faeyr in the offhand.
