Extracting Sounds From Planescape: Torment (not music)

    I'm brand new to the forums so hello to everyone.

    I've a copy of the 4 disc version of Planescape: Torment. I'd like to extract all of the "Fall-From-Grace" character sound files from the game. I unfortunately haven't the first idea where to start with that. (I'm somewhat of a n00b in these matter.) I'd need to know what program/s I'd need, how to find the files I want with that program/s (without getting the ones I don't need, and have be able to have those files in either WAV or MP3.) Might any one be able to steer me to a comprehensive tutorial on the matter?

    [​IMG] look up acm2wav, also a program like NearInfinity or WinBiff to extract the files.

    I reccomend NearInfinity, it's a very clear layout for all the files in the game for you to peruse at your leisure. Haven't used it to extract sound files before though.

    Sounds are usually stored as .acm files so acm2wav makes them a format readable by most audio players.

    I'm currently converting the WAV files I found with NearInfinity using MusicMatch. I was under the impression that there was a lot more dialogue than the nearly 3,000 sound files I found. I'll keep you all updated and thanks for the help folks!

    A relatively very small portion of the dialogue is voiced in PST, hence why there's very few sound files compared to the huge amount of text. Although come to think of it 3000 files is hardly "very few" :)
