December 11, 1999 was the actual beginning of news logging at the site, and July 08, 2000 the date of the first major redesign of the site, hence the break in archives at that point. The guestbook has been discontinued at the end of 2004, but all the entries gathered over the years have been preserved in the archives available here. Please note that these archives go back a long time, so you will encounter many dead links (internal & external), but this is perfectly normal, as keeping the news archives updated would be practically impossible.
