(Thanks to Amnasty for providing a correction here, and to Sir Rechet for confirming it!)

Romance: No

NPC Quests: Find the Book of Kaza – after hiring Korgan you shouldn't dally too much before going to the Graveyard District in search of this valuable book.

A few days after you have hired Korgan, he will tell you he should also talk to a man in the Government District. This sets off the Find Valygar for the Cowled Wizards quest and is not really an NPC quest – but Korgan will insist that you get going on it nonetheless!

Relations with other NPCs: Korgan will annoy Aerie to no end, until she leaves the party permanently. Strangely enough, all other NPCs will tolerate the evil and grumpy dwarf.

Korgan strikes up a strange friendship ... or at least mutual respect ... with Edwin. Maybe because Edwin is one of the few NPCs not to be afraid of him.

Behavior that causes him to leave the party: Leaves the party if you refuse to do his personal quests. Also leaves permanently if the party's reputation becomes 19 or better.

Background information: Korgan, a member of the Dwarven Bloodaxe clan, is the archetypical grumpy, old, evil Dwarf Warrior. He doesn't tell you much about his past, except for tales of the parties he has been a member of, and which often met a violent end – at his axe! Whether you dare trust the violent dwarf is up to yourself.

Korgan is definitely the best fighter in the game, and as such belongs on the front line. I have him first in line for the best armor and the best weapons I can find and will especially try to raise his abilities with Hammers and Two-weapon style so he can wield the Crom Faeyr in the off hand.
