Ember

Your point of entry. Bishop notices right away that the villagers and their livestock are gone. And well, you have to fight a couple waves of Githyanki, mages included. At some point, somebody named Alaine comes out and lets you know where the Githyanki have taken Shandra.
- Here you’ll run into a boy named Marcus, who foretells a pretty dark portend for the village. He insists that Bishop give him his skinning knife, as it will allow him to be the sole survivor. You can oblige Bishop to do so, though it may cost you influence with him. This means that Marcus will appear to you again when by reasons of the plot you have to come back to Ember. If you don’t have Bishop give Marcus the knife, he’ll never appear again.
- World Map Transition, which allows the party to reach the Githyanki Base.
