IOUN STONES

These stones may be worn on the head for various beneficial effects.

Bronze Ioun Stone

Properties:

• Memorize one bonus 7th level spell when worn.
• Usable by: Mages and Bards. (NOTE: This is the official description; I don't know what a Bard would do with it, since Bards can't cast higher than 6th level spells.)

Location:

Throne of Bhaal:

• Found on a cot in the cell at 12 on Level 1 of Saradush Prison, after you lay the ghost to rest.

Circlet of Netheril

Properties: Together with the Bronze Ioun Stone, Cespenar can upgrade this to the upgraded Circlet of Netheril.

Location:

Watcher's Keep:

• Dropped by the Chromatic Demon at 13 on the Elemental Level of Watcher's Keep.

Circlet of Netheril (upgraded)

Properties:

• +10 to Max. Hit Points.
• Memorize one additional 7th and 8th level spell.
• Usable by: Mages.

• Created by Cespenar in the Hellish Pocket Plane if you give him the Bronze Ioun Stone, the Circlet of Netheril, and 5,000 GP.

Dusty Rose Ioun Stone

Properties:

• Armor Class Bonus: +1.
• Weight: 2.

Location:

• Found at 5 on Level 1 of the Asylum Dungeon after you have solved all the riddles correctly.

Golden Ioun Stone

Properties:

• +1 to Intelligence when equipped.

Location:

Throne of Bhaal:

• Sold by Lazarus Librarus in the Arcana Archives in Saradush, after you return his spellbook to him.

Lavender Ioun Stone

Properties:

• +1 Bonus to AC.
• +4 to all Saves vs. Death.

Location:

Throne of Bhaal:

• Dropped by Gromnir Il-Khan on Level 2 of Gromnir's Castle.

Malla's Soul Stone

This is the stone that contains Malla's Soul. If you don't give it back to Marlowe at the end of the Rescue Marlowe's Daughter quest, you can wear it as an Ioun Stone.

Properties:

• +1 to Dexterity.
• +1 to Constitution.
• Cast Neutralize Poison once per day.
• Weight: 2.
• Not usable by: Good-aligned characters.

• Given to you by (or taken from) the Lich Vongoethe in the Cave of the Dead in Amkethran.

Obsidian Ioun Stone

Properties:

• +1 to Constitution when equipped.

Location:

Throne of Bhaal:

• Sold by Karthis al-Hezzar at 2 in the North Forest after you save him from Yaga-Shura's soldiers.

Pale Green Ioun Stone

Properties:

• +10% bonus to hit points.
• +1 bonus to AC.
• Armor Class Bonus: None.
• Weight: 2.

Location:

• Found in Paina's Lair at 6 in the Lower Tombs.

Pearly White Ioun Stone

Properties:

• Regenerate 2 hit points every minute.
• Weight: 2.

Location:

• Found in the floor in the Lava Room at 11 on Level 1 of the Temple Ruins Dungeon.

Silver Ioun Stone

Properties:

• +1 to Wisdom when equipped.

Location:

Throne of Bhaal:

• Sold by Zakee at 2 in the tavern in Amkethran.

Wong Fei's Ioun Stone

Properties:

• Armor Class: +1 Bonus.
• +15 to Max. Hit Points.
• Wearer regenerates 1 Hit Point every 6 seconds.
• Usable by: Monks, Fighters, and Kensai.

• Dropped by Sendai herself in Sendai's room.
