LIMITED WISH

First things first, you need a good wisdom score to take full advantange of the Limited Wish. If the Wisdom is too low, making a wish can have unfortunate results. Avastrian's isn't quite there yet, as 13 (not 12) is the minimum. So I stop off at the Temple of Oghma in the Docks District and buy a few Potions of Insight.

Now I head over to the grounds outside the De'Arnise Keep. I begin to take advantage of some of the one-time wishes available with the spell. I always drink a Potion of Insight before I cast the spell.

Wishing for riches gets me 2,000gp and some gemstones. Wishing for a powerful item gets me a Full Platemail +2. This will be Anomen's armor for the time being. Wishing for experience obliges me to fight two Sand Golems and an Adamantite Golem. Suffice to say, I buff up beforehand, Mirror Images, Armors of Faith, Haste.

An Adventure Like No Other

Now I return to the Bridge District, and cast Limited Wish again. This time I wish for an adventure unlike any I've ever experienced. I head over to the west side, near Delosar's Inn. An old man named Vittorio wants me to recover a debt owed to him by Captain Dennis.

Captain Dennis is inside Delosar's Inn itself. Matters are a little more complex than Vittorio let on as he apparently stole a gong that belonged to the Captain's mother, and sold it away to somebody in the Sewers.

So I head over to the south side of the Sewers and speak with Roger the Fence. I buy a few Potions of Agility from him for Anomen. I then speak to him about the gong. He wants me to kill a Sea Troll first before he tells me more. The Sea Troll is towards the southwest corner, and Jaheira easily kills it by herself. Roger then says he sold it to a Troll named Grae in the Druid Grove.

I then make my way through the Grove. I encounter Grae near the Troll Mound. I beat her into submission to get her to tell me where the gong is, with an Ogre Mage named Drush. I then make a roleplaying decision to kill her.

Drush can be found in the small tower at the bottom of the stairs towards the northeast corner. He trades me the gong in exchange for a Wand of Frost.

Now I return to Captain Dennis to finally resolve matters. I get some gold, 10,500xp for every party member, and the Boomerang Dagger +2.

Now the party has a few more quests to resolve in Waukeen's Promenade.
