COSMIC CIRCLE

I didn't include a map here, since this final area is pretty straightforward as it is. Simply follow the path ahead, and then you'll see the Dark Savant destroy Aletheides. Bela then leads you on to the Cosmic Forge and the Book of Destiny. Some revealing dialogue ensues, at the end of which three choices, and three corresponding game endings, are available to you. I show each one.

Evil Ending

The first choice is to join the Dark Savant in order to become the Dark Cosmic Lords of the universe. Bela and Vi Domina will then try to kill the party, but they become very easy to hack down by now.

Good Ending

The second choice is to try and write the Dark Savant out of existence on the Book of Destiny, only that he interrupts you and you'll be forced to fight him.

He can be a difficult opponent, at least in Expert Mode. He has a lot of hit points, and can be difficult to hit. He is at 38th level, so his spells stand a good chance of affecting you even if you have spell protections in place. His use of Pandemonium and Mind Flay in particular can be quite troubling. He can also summon in Savant Henchmen as an innate power. Ignore them and keep your eye on the prize, although if they get numerous enough, something like Death Cloud from a spell caster may be worth a try. Simply keep your warriors on top of him, and attack him, using Restoration and Sane Mind for any party members that may rendered insane. With enough persistence he should fall.

Now my party scripts the Book with the Forge with benevolence and justice in mind.

Phoonzang Ending

The third choice is to tear out the page that led to Phoonzang becoming the Dark Savant, but again, I must defeat the Dark Savant to get there.

*THE END*
