BACK ALLEY *EVIL*

Merchant Quarter

Smuggling Weapons for Moire

For Zarathos, it's a meeting with Axle Deivre instead of Captain Breilena. Axle is inside the building at #9 on the Merchant Quarter map. His quest is naturally the opposite, for me to clear a path through the Back Alley so that the weapon shipment can make it through without getting confiscated by the Watch.

The video includes a few more cutscenes, one of which plays out differently than for Valeria. Zarathos' efforts have made Lord Nasher and Sir Nevalle worried about losing control of the Docks.

Docks District

Wolf and the Thug

Zarathos' preference is to out Wolf as a liar. Wolf uses a cliched trick to get out of it anyway.

Bowl of Commanding Water Elementals

The entrance to the Back Alley is at #17. I speak with the Smuggling Contact to begin the job, which is to protect the Wagon as it makes its way through the Back Alley.

Back Alley

I start off at #6 on the Back Alley map. At #5 will be fights against a LOT of Thugs. Each character has their own role during the many combats here. Qara hangs back, and chooses the right time to unleash Fireballs that will catch as many Thugs or Watch Guards as possible. Neeshka will look for opportunities to position herself behind an enemy for sneak attacks. Khelgar will hold his ground at the front and swing away. Zarathos will swing away with his sword, but if enough enemies are within a close enough radius, he'll unleash a Call Lightning or a Divine Hammer. I of course hold onto to all the loot I find for later sale.

Once in a while, an enemy Mage shows up, but their spells aren't especially dangerous. Qara will often take them, as well as enemy archers, out with spells like Melf's Acid Arrow and Magic Missiles. If the enemy Mages do cast Grease, it can be annoying, so simply walk out of the greasy area if you can. Qara may, depending on the situation, take out an enemy Mage before he react with a Flame Arrows spell as well to avoid a casting of Grease or other such inconvenviences.

A barrel just a little to the right of #4 will have some random loot plus a Bowl of Commanding Water Elementals (10 charges of Summon Water Elemental).

City Watch on Guard

At around #3 will be a large contigent of City Watch blocking my way. I choose the "let's kill them" option to gain influence with Qara and Khelgar, but lose it with Neeshka. Qara gets in a pre-emptive Fireball before they even notice me, which makes things much easier.

There will be several Thugs to slaughter in the narrow alleyway to the side.

Thug Ambush

I take out a few more Thugs as I progress westwards.

A little north of #1 will be several Thugs who will want to stop me. Their leader will call in several reinforcements. A Fireball from Qara and a Divine Hammer from Zarathos takes out the group that's immediately in front of me. Another wave will attack from behind. Zarathos unleashes a Call Lightning spell once they close in.

Just ahead will be the Warehouse Supervisor. Speaking to him leads to my next destination, which is the evil version of the Warehouse.
