WAREHOUSE

Merchant Quarter

First Weapon Shipment

I then speak with the Warehouse Supervisor, whereupon I enter the Warehouse.

Warehouse

The quest takes a turn for the worst, as the City Watch is now crashing the Warehouse in force. My job becomes to protect the weapon shipments from seizure.

The City Watch that I'll have to fight can become quite numerous, and they often have a pair of Clerics with them. The Clerics can cast spells like Silence and Hold Person. The strategies vary depending on the situation. Qara always keeps an eye out for opportunities to nail the maximum number of foes with Fireballs. Neeshka always looks for backstabbing opportunities. The Silence spells from the Clerics can become annoying, and how I deal with this depends on the circumstances. Sometimes I retreat and force my enemies to bend around a corner to reach me, allowing me to get the jump on them. Sometimes Qara can get in the first blow with Fireball, interrupting the Clerics use of Silence. If enough of the Watch start to surround me, Qara can cast Slow on them in order to reduce their ability to fight. Zarathos will also throw in Call Lightning or Divine Hammer. I collect any loot I find so that I can sell it. Note that I don't feel any shame if a party member falls. These battles can be tough, and if I happen to win the hard way, I'll take it.

I start off at #13 on the Warehouse map. A few City Watch will come in and force me to kill them. Just outside the office will be a crate with several Daggers.

The room a little south of #4 will have one of the first major shipments that needs to be protected in order to complete the quest. The containers to the north will have random loot. The one at #4 will have several Shortbows, including a Duskwood Shortbow that can be sold for quite a bit of gold.

I continue on and kill more Watch at #3. The other containers her have some random loot, plus several trap kits, and some Thieves' Tools.

Second Weapon Shipment

The second shipment is around #2, where there are more City Watch. Some of the containers have random loot. One of them has about 13 Darksteel Chain Shirts, but I can't let myself get weighed down. A nearby barrel at #6 has several alcoholic drinks.

Third Weapon Shipment

I begin to head northward. I take out more members of the Watch at #5. One of the crates will have random loot, while the other will have several Shortswords including a Shortsword +2 that I hold onto for Shandra.

At #11 is a crate that holds plenty of Light Shields, including an Adamantine Light Shield that can be sold for plenty of gold.

I end up having to kill more members of the Watch at #10, after I get an early jump on them with two Fireballs in succession from Qara. There will be more containers with random loot, as well as a recipe book called the Formulae of the Learned Scholars of Halruaa.

Fourth Weapon Shipment

I take out more foes at places marked #7, #8 and #9. The last weapon shipment will be at around #9. Note how I sometimes have Qara get herself out of the range of an enemy Silence spell before she begins casting Fireballs and such.

I report my success to the Warehouse Supervisor. He has a store available. It's mostly weapons, often of +2 enchantment. Unique items include:

I now leave the Warehouse. The good party would immediately be required to see to the rescue of Fihelis. For Zarathos and the evil party, however, Axle Dievre will send them to Old Owl Well instead.
