Why She's Included

I changed her from a Monk to a Bishop before she starts Wizardry 8. Part of the reason is that I'll get RFS-81 as a Monk, albeit without the Psionics. It also coincides with Terra changing to Ninja so that she can wield the Cane of Corpus. As a Bishop she will access a whole assortment of offensive spells from various spell realms that allows her to tailor her response to the situation. All of her spells will also be empowered by the Power Cast skill, which will increase spell duration, offensive damage, the likelihood to inflict status effects on the target monsters, and increase her ability to pierce the monsters' resistances. Death Cloud in particular can be especially devastating.

Of course, the obvious concern will be if the Bishop can truly master any magic skills is she's having to divide her attention between multiple spell books. I circumvent this with skill training methods that will raise her Wizardry, Psionics, Alchemy (I already have 2 characters who can cast Divinity spells), and Power Cast skills all at once. This requires patience, but it is well worth it.

Combining the Amulet of Nebdar and the Robe of Rejuvenation and the Ring of Power means she will frequently be able to recoup all of her mana in between fights.

As strange as it may sound, she can also contribute meaningfully to melee combat first with the Ebon Staff, and then the Staff of Doom, when she's at a loss for a spell to cast.
